Energy Register
For the facilities lead

Paste your sites and their supplies. Get every supply point classified.

Paste your list of sites and their energy supplies. Get every supply point classified: what it is metered by, what it pays under, what it can and cannot report under the carbon and energy rules that apply to you, which sites can take part in demand response and storage programmes and which cannot, the contracts ending inside a year, and the questions to take to your energy manager and your auditor before the next reporting period.

Seven of the twenty-eight, as the register reads them, numbered as they sit in the paste. Every kWh figure sits in its meter window as pasted; a flag names a finding in the same words the findings block uses.
One supply point per line: Site, Country, Supply, Meter, Tariff, Annual kWh, Supplier, Contract end, Generation, Storage, EV charging, Owner. A header row, pipes, tabs, commas or a facilities register export all work; a site may appear on several lines, one per supply. A preamble line such as iso 50001: yes | aasb s2: yes | reporting owner: Priya Natarajan | as at: 2026-09-22 ticks the regimes and dates the register.
Nothing ticked reads as ISO 50001 and ISO 14064-1; a preamble line ticks for you. The GHG Protocol, the CSRD, the EPBD and the SEC rule are quoted as named references by supply and country whatever is ticked.

What the register reads off each line

kWh, as pasted
01

The supply point, placed

Each line is matched against thirty published site classes in six families and eight supply types, longest match wins. The class says whether the site normally carries a load that can be shed or shifted; the supply says which category of the inventory it lands in and whether it is imported energy or the site's own generation or storage. A line no class or supply matches is marked unrecognised and given the three questions that place it.

02

The meter, the tariff, the kWh

Four meter types and eight tariff types are read from the words on the line. An interval meter supports an interval-data programme and a location-based inventory; an accumulation meter supports neither. A time-of-use, demand-charge or pass-through tariff pays for flexibility; a fixed or flat tariff does not. The kWh figure is kept as pasted, in its meter window, and every share is a share of the kWh read.

03

The duty, quoted, and the finding named

For every classified line the ticked regimes attach their clauses: ISO 50001 on metering, the energy review, the baseline and procurement; ISO 14064-1 on boundaries, categories, quantification and the market-based conditions for imported electricity; AASB S2 on the scope 2 disclosure; ISO 22301 where standby generation or storage is a site's continuity measure. A finding is a metering, tariff or reporting expectation the held text sets, named with the clause; it is not a ruling on the site, the supplier or the tariff.

Why a register and not a spreadsheet

The spreadsheet holds the sites, the meters and the contracts. What it does not hold is the reading: which lines can take part in a programme, which reported figure the meter and the tariff can support, which contract ends before the reporting period, and which clause an auditor will open first. The register is that reading, made from your own rows, in your browser, in one morning.

Every line's programme eligibility is read from three facts on the line (the meter, the class, the tariff) and the country's named programme. The register says can take part only where all four hold, and otherwise names the one condition that stops it. It never computes an emissions figure: kWh only, and the clause that says how a figure would be made.
